Demos that run themselves.

Lay out the clicks and keystrokes once — or just record yourself — and ShowRunner performs the whole walkthrough: the cursor glides, clicks land, text types, smooth and identical every time. Export a polished video, or drive your real Mac cursor through it live.

Or pick it up in a bundle with over twenty other apps. Also available on Setapp.

Software tutorials & how-tos

The cursor glides to the exact button, clicks land, text types. Every run comes out paced and identical — no fumbled take four, no fat-fingered keystroke at 0:48.

Product feature demos

Hold the camera on the thing that's new. Zoom into the detail, lift it under a hot spot, drop in a webcam bubble — the “here's what shipped” clip, without re-recording it five times.

App listing & social clips

Export at native capture resolution with cursor, zooms, and a scene background baked in. A clean, repeatable clip ready for your app's listing or a social post.

Onboarding & support docs

Turn “click here, then here” into a walkthrough that plays the same way every time. The flow overlay numbers each step so a teammate can read the whole sequence at a glance.

Build the flow once.

Add steps from a palette — Move, Click, Right-click, Hold & Release to drag, Type, Keys shortcut, Scroll, Wait, Switch app, and Section headings to group it all. Turn on Live and the canvas shows your real screen (ShowRunner excludes itself), so you drop each target exactly where it'll land.

Some targets only appear mid-interaction — inside an open menu or popover. A timed Pick on screen capture counts down while you open the menu, then grabs the cursor's spot. Reorder freely; every run comes out smooth and identical.

Run it for real.

Run Live drives your actual macOS cursor through the flow — real clicks, real keystrokes — with an Esc kill-switch, the step list floating over the apps you're driving, and an option to hide every other app for a distraction-free take. Right-click any step to run live from there.

Or Run & Record: drive the real cursor and capture the screen at once, so the finished footage already matches your steps exactly — then hand it straight to the editor.

A Recording Editor built for polish.

The capture opens on a buttery, frame-accurate timeline. Scrub it, lay zoom spans wherever the action is, and refine the cursor as it plays — the steps light up in time with the footage.

One click of Auto-zoom reads the room and lays smooth spans for you, holding the camera within a region instead of popping in and out. Or place and trim your own, including a floating picture-in-picture inset.

Many scenes, one video.

A .showrunner document can hold a whole run of scenes — each with its own steps, recording, and scene background. Drop transitions between them and render the lot as one continuous clip.

Or export each scene as a separate file. Either way the cursor, zooms, camera, and scene are baked into a clean MP4 at native capture resolution.

Need it in light and dark? Pair a scene with a dark version of itself. The two share every step, zoom and hot spot, while each gets its own recording, cursor and background. Your Mac switches to the right appearance for each take, and one export renders both videos.

Build & Record: the scene picker open in the toolbar, listing three scenes with the transition between each, over a step list of Moves, Clicks and a typed search beside a dashboard traced with numbered waypoints
Compose & Export: the Scene inspector's cursor, click-ring and canvas settings beside the preview, with the view controls and Magnify above a timeline carrying two zoom spans
The Export dialog: a scene list beside the preview, a filmstrip with yellow trim handles, and Size, Speed, Frame rate and audio settings above the file name
A new, empty scene offering two ways in: Build a flow, with a first-step button for each kind of step, or Capture, which records real clicks and keystrokes as editable steps

Hot spots

Mark a region of the screen and it lifts and glows as the run reaches it — a built-in way to emphasize the moments and elements that matter, right as they happen.

A cursor with character

Choose how the synthetic pointer moves and feels — eased travel that never arcs off-frame, plus optional lean, squash & stretch, motion blur, a comet trail, a click bounce, and colored click rings.

Camera + mic bubble

Add a webcam bubble in any corner that ducks out of the way when the cursor needs the space, and narrate with your microphone mixed into the recording.

Auto-zoom that reads the room

One click lays smooth zoom spans wherever the action is, lensing into a region and holding it there instead of popping in and out. Trim them, or place your own.

Pick spots you can't see yet

Some targets only show up inside an open menu or popover. A timed Pick on screen capture counts down while you open it, then grabs the cursor's location.
